This plugin resetting business is quite possibly one of the most frustrating things I have found in Sonar. Open the Waves plugins to find many of my EQ settings have been hosed. I load the project later and things sound awful.

I'm really frustrated about it because it's completely destroyed hours of work getting EQ sounding just right. I am having huge problems with Waves plugins having their controls reset. correct?" Or is there more to it than that? I just want to make sure I understand WHAT this patch will be fixing (in regards to this specific problem) Thanks in advance for any clarification you can give me.ĭjtrailmixxx Bump, this is still an issue "The temporary solution is to just NOT use Waves VST3 stuff until the patch later this week. But I just don't want to screw anything else up on tracks I've spent weeks working on, by suddenly losing all of my progress. I already turned off the "Replace VST2 with VST3" option or whatever, and I THINK that my tracks with Waves VST2 stuff are working, as far as I can tell. My plugins are resetting as well, so I understand that part, but for the time being, is the solution to ONLY use VST2 plugins, and don't use ANY VST3 plugins, until the patch is released later this week? Or is it ok to use VST3 plugins, but just not Waves VST3 specifically? I have some multitrack drums that I've been mixing for a while in X2, and I don't want to screw something up. I'm pretty sure I read this entire thread, and understood most of it, but I'm still a little unclear what the actual bug is. Waves Audio LTD has to partner up with Dell/ASUS as well as the audio driver makers (Conexant and Realtek) to offer updated software that fully works on Win10, which may take a while on older systems running Win10.I just want to make sure I understand this correctly.

We are working closely with our partners to ensure compatibility with Waves in the Windows 10 environment. With the upgrade to Windows 10, some users have encountered issues with their audio drivers. The problem is also on MaxxAudio's (Waves Audio LTD) end of the spectrum. Now we need to wait propably year or so, until they get their s**t HW manufacturers had plenty of time of testing various builds and technical previews, yet they have failed as usually to catch up. Windows 10 did not just materialize over a night. With every new Windows version they failed to deliver fully working, qualityĭrivers. It just shows, how incompetent entire IT industry is and always was. Missing MaxxAudio equalizers from Realtek HD audio drivers is a well known problem.
